Martial law can bring order to Karachi: Pir Pagara

KARACHI:Pakistan Muslim League-Functional (PML-F) Chief Pir Pagara on Saturday said that only a martial law or stern action against the perpetrators of violence in Karachi can put the city in order.

Speaking to the media after meeting Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) chief Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain and senior party leader Mushahid Hussain, Pagara also claimed that the current government will not complete its tenure due to rampant corruption.

PML-Q leader Mushahid Hussain stated that the countrys economy will not improve until law and order is restored in Karachi.

He also said the PML-Q had no plans to form its government in Punjab.

Earlier, Hussain had met with Awami National Party (ANP) provincial president, Shahi Syed at Mardan House, where he had criticised the government for failing to control the situation in the city. He also called on the government to take responsibility for the operation in Karachi.
