LAHORE:The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has issued arrest warrants for Moonis Elahi, the son of former Punjab Chief Minister Pervaiz Elahi, in the NICL scam case.
The warrants were issued after Moonis failed to appear before the FIAs inquiry team investigating the scam.
According to an earlier report in The Express Tribune, Moonis will be booked under the supplementary statement that the manager of one of his companies made before the FIA in which he alleged that Rs220 million of the plundered money was received from Mohsin Habib Warraich and was later handed over to Moonis Elahi.
Moonis Elahi is also being arraigned in all three cases registered by the FIAs Punjab bureau. Sources in the FIA toldThe Express Tribunethat Moonis Elahi used his influence to open a fake bank account and received the plundered money through this account in the name of his companys manager.
